About Structures Simplified
Making structural engineering simpler
We're practising structural engineers who got tired of doing the same repetitive work by hand — and of watching good engineers learn the hard way. So we started building the tools and courses we wished we'd had.
Our mission
Less busywork. Better structures.
Too much of a structural engineer's day goes into copying results between programs, re-checking spreadsheets and repeating the same modelling steps. That time should go into judgement — choosing the right system, understanding behaviour, getting the details right.
Structures Simplified brings together everything that helps with that: courses that explain the why as well as the how, automation tools that remove repetitive steps, and reference material and training that lift whole teams.
Engineering first
Every tool and lesson is checked against hand calculations and code clauses.
Transparent
Visible formulas, clear assumptions, no black boxes.
Built to be trusted
Tested on real projects before it reaches you.
Always improving
Updates driven by feedback from engineers using our work.

Meet the founder
Parishith Jayan
Founder, Structural Engineer & Developer
I'm a structural engineer who writes code. Most of my work sits where steel design meets software: building tools that automate STAAD.Pro, writing C# and OpenSTAAD scripts, and working out how AI tools like Claude can take the busywork out of design.
I started Structures Simplified after watching good engineers lose hours to copy-pasting results, rebuilding spreadsheets and repeating the same modelling steps. Everything here, from the courses to the tools to the team training, comes from that same idea: let engineers spend their time on engineering.
“Give engineers back the hours they lose to repetitive work, and teach the things I wish someone had taught me early on.”
